The easy way to make tab settings in WordPerfect for DOS is not at all clear on the
Format/Shift+F8, Line,
Tab screen.
Here are a few useful but not-so-obvious keystrokes:
| Ctrl+End | clear all tab settings to the right of the cursor |
| Ctrl > | nudge the tab setting the cursor is on to the right 1/10th inch |
| Ctrl < | nudge the tab setting the cursor is on to the left 1/10th inch |
| Ctrl ^ | move the cursor right to the next tab stop |
| Ctrl v | move the cursor left to the previous tab stop |
| Home < | move the cursor to the left edge of the screen |
| Home, Home < | move the cursor to the very left edge of the ruler bar |
| End | move the cursor to the very right edge of the ruler bar |
(These keystrokes work in WordPerfect for DOS versions 5.1, 5.1+, and 6.0. In
versions 4.2 and
5.0, only Ctrl+End, End, and Home work as described.
